These shoes are made for walkin’
It’s official! Summer is here. I cracked out my favorite shoes today. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but I’ve been in sneaks for the past 2 years straight and my piggies were happy to see the light of day. Finally!
My favorite shoes are 10-year-old brown strappy things. They’ve held up well, actually, and every time I put them on I remember where I was 10 years ago. Fresh out of college, directionless and pretty clueless too. I was between jobs, boyfriends, and homes. Between towns, even.
Ten years later I have 7 years of marriage under my belt and two adorable kids. I still have no idea what I want to do career-wise (well, if writing novels doesn’t work out) but I don’t feel nearly as much pressure as I did back then. And I still have my fabulous shoes. Life is good!
